Glossopdale branch invite you to the May meeting of their friendly Coffee Club on Friday 9th May at Windy Harbour Farm Hotel, Glossop from 10.30am to 12.30pm. The subject will be the First World War, particulalrly about the first day of the Battle of the Somme.

Buxton branch invite you to a Quiz Night on Friday 25th April at Buxton Conservative Club, Concert Place, Buxton, 7pm, to be hosted by Edwina Currie Jones. Special guest: Andrew Bingham MP. Tickets are £7.50 each and will include a hot supper of sausage and chips. There will be a raffle for a House of Commons bottle of wine.

The speaker is Mr Ryan Duckett, Director of Partnerships, Cricket Derbyshire. He will be giving an update on the professional Derby County Cricket Club and also its work in developing community cricket across the county.

Glossopdale branch invite you to their friendly coffee club on Friday 11th April, 10.30am to 12.30pm at Windy Harbour Farm Hotel, Glossop to chat with friends over a coffee and a slice of gateau followed by a talk by Cllr Tony Favell MBE (President of HPCA and Chairman of National Parks UK.

On Thursday 10th April you are invited to a tour of the magnificent, newly refurbished Stockport Plaza at 11am, with lunch at the Plaza restaurant, then visit the famous Stockport Hat Museum in the afternoon and discover why hatters were mad! Buxton branch invite you to their friendly coffee club at The Old Hall, Buxton on Friday 28th March 2014,10.30am to 12noon. The speaker will be Emma McClarkin, MEP for East Midlands.

The next meeting of our friendly Glossopdale Coffee Club will be held on Friday 14th March at Windy Harbour Farm Hotel, Glossop when the speaker will be Cllr Julie McCabe, subject "The work of glossop Women's Aid and its help for families - women, men and children - affected by domestic abuse". Glossopdale Coffee Club is held on the second Friday in the month, 10.30am to 12.30pm and anyone is welcome to attend. It gives a chance to chat with friends over a coffee and biscuits ot a slice of gateau, followed by an illustrated talk.

We are delighted to invite you to a Dinner on Friday 7th March at Chapel-en-le-Frith Golf Club at 7.30pm. The speaker will be Conor Burns MP who was Margaret Thatcher's great friend and confidante during her later years. Come along and listen to what will be a fascinating insight into one of this country's most iconic political figures. Tickets are £29 and will include a 3 course dinner.
