Glossopdale branch invite you to their friendly monthly coffee club on Friday 10th October at Windy Harbour Farm Hotel, Woodhead Road, Glossop. Come along at 10am to 12 noon, to have a cup of coffee and listen to a talk on the regeneration of the Moorlands above Glossop..

Blackbrook, Combs & Whaley Bridge branch invite you to join them on a coach trip to Port Sunlight on Saturday 4th October. Port Sunlight is a model village on the Wirral which was created by William Lever for his Sunlight soap factory workers in 1888. There is a guided tour around this unique and beautiful 19th century garden village which explains what life was like living in the village. Please contact 1A (01298 22521) to book your place. Buxton branch invite you to come along on Friday 26th September at the Old Hall Hotel, Buxton from 10.30am to 12 noon to have a cup of coffee and listen to the speaker: Bill Weston MBE who will be speaking about "different hats through life".

You are invited to a tea tasting and afternoon tea on Sunday 21st September by James Pogson of Northern Tea Merchants. This will take place at New Mills Volunteer Bureau, 33 Union Road, New Mills. Further details will be advised as soon as possible.

Glossopdale branch invite you to their friendly Coffee Club on Friday 12th September at Windy Harbour Farm Hotel, Glossop where you will have a chance to chat with friends over a coffee and biscuit or a slice of gateau. The speaker will be Shaun Wood, sharing with you the experiences of the wild life of the forests on his recent trip to Belrus. For this occasion only the talk will begin as close to 10am as possible.

Glossopdale branch invite you to have a go at Go Karting on Thursday 4th September at Swains, Harpur Hill, Buxton, 7.30pm. Previous races have been great fun and the race is for a maximum of 8 teams with 3 drivers in each team. Each driver will get 20 minutes in the kart (split into 2 x 10 minute sections). Cost for this event is £30 per person. Places are limited to 24 on a strictly first-come first-served basis.

Sunday 31st August 2014. Bring your family and friends to decipher the clues and claim the £50 treasure at the end of the trail. With clues of varying difficulty levels, the treasure hunt is the perfect afternoon for all the family. Start at the Sett Valley car park, Hayfield at 2pm. £10 per car/team. Sunday 10th August. Tickets £35 to include champagne picnic tea (under cover) and entry to the evening Concert by the award winning Tideswell Male Voice Choir and soloists, in the covered grandstand in the Tudor rose garden. High Peak Conservatives invite you to an evening with Lord Archer on Sunday 13th July. Tickets are £55 per person and will include "Jeffrey Archer in conversation with Chris Beetles" at the Opera House followed by an intimate Supper and a Welcome Drink at the Old Hall Hotel, straight after the show.

Buxton branch invite you to an evening of poetry at REMs in Chapel-en-le-Frith on Friday 4th July at 7.30pm. There will be a tapas meal and the entertainment will be by Buxton member, Colin, all for £20 per person.
