Thursday 12th December 2019, High Peak won General Election electing Robert Largan to be the Member of Parliament.
Winning 45.9% of the vote, with a turnout of 54,173 and winning a majority of 590 leading to a defeat for Labour candidate Ruth George.
This was a momentous day where High Peak regained a Conservative MP and Prime Minister Boris Johnson won a thumping majority of 80 seats. The biggest Conservative majority since Margaret Thatcher.
The voters of High Peak gained hope again and an MP who would work hard for the people it serves.
